Philip set up Ambant in 2007, having run his own consultancy since 1999. In 1995 he bought PanFinancial Insurance Company Limited, one of the first purchases of an insurance company in run-off to be sanctioned by the UK regulator. Prior to this he worked for 17 years in senior management positions for the Skandia Group, including establishing and managing its London Market run-off operations.

He has sat on the Association of Run-Off Companies (ARC) board for the past six years, and has been Chairman for the last three. He holds non-executive directorships in City General Insurance Company Limited, of which he is Chairman, and Highlands Insurance Company (UK) Limited (in administration). He is a barrister by qualification.

Jim has over 28 years’ experience working as a service provider and as an intermediary within the Lloyd’s, London and international insurance markets.

On the service side of the business Jim’s wide ranging experience includes: successfully managing the run-off of Lloyd’s intermediaries; advising underwriters, intermediaries and legal entities on solutions for discontinued accounts; and working on numerous high value commutations and disputes. As an intermediary, Jim worked as a director in the direct and reinsurance markets. In 2006 Jim completed a LLB (Hons) with the Open University and College of Law.

Andy has over twenty two years’ experience working within the Lloyd’s, London and international insurance markets.  He is renowned for his in-depth technical knowledge and deals with brokers and reinsurers on a day to day basis.

His market experience includes working as the Asset Manager (reinsurance and premium) for a number Lloyd’s syndicates and companies in the live, run-off, scheme of arrangements and insolvent markets.

Steven has 21 years' London Market experience, initially with a risk carrier but mainly on the insurance service and consultancy side.

During this time, Steven has supported Lloyd’s clients with reinsurance asset validation and reconciliation tasks for the Reconstruction & Renewal process as well as preparing and reporting Lloyd’s Trust Fund returns. He also led in-sourced project teams that delivered underwriting and reinsurance system merger and migration projects for 6 Lloyd’s Managing Agents and one European and US based reinsurance company.
